Who we are

Artistic Windows & Doors is responsible for this website and for the information described here. We design and build in our own facility in Avenel, New Jersey, and our crews install across the tri-state area. This policy covers this website and the forms on it. You can reach us at 10 S Inman Ave, Avenel, NJ 07001.

What you tell us, and what we do with it

When you send the form on this site we store what you typed and email it to ourselves so somebody can call you back. That is your name, your email address, your phone number, your company if you gave one, whatever you wrote in the message box, and your answers to the questions the form asked you.

Those questions change depending on who you are. An architect gets asked about drawings, a builder about the install window, a homeowner about the kind of project. We store each question as you actually read it alongside the answer you actually gave, so that a year later the record still means what it meant on the day.

The email goes out through Resend, and a copy comes back to you so you know it arrived.

We keep your inquiry for as long as we are in business and you have not asked us to delete it. It is how we remember who we have spoken to, and a window project can sit between the first call and the install for a long time. Ask us to delete it and we will.

We also keep a word-for-word copy of the submission, purely so we can work out what went wrong if something breaks in transit, and we delete it within 90 days. It never leaves our server: it is not in any list, export or report anyone here looks at.

Two things the form records that you did not type

The page you sent it from, so we can tell a request that came off the door gallery from one that came off the contact page. You do not type this in; the form fills it in.

A hidden field that a real visitor never sees and only an automated script fills in. If it comes back filled in we treat the submission as spam: you still see a success message, and we discard it without emailing anyone. It keeps junk out of the inbox and it records nothing about you.

How we use it

The only reason any of it is kept is to answer you:

• Somebody here reads every submission
• You get a confirmation email so you know it went through
• We use what you told us to price and specify your project

We do not sell your information, add you to a marketing list, or use it to advertise to you anywhere else. There is no mailing list to add you to.

The chat on this site

If there is a chat button on this site and you use it, what you type is stored so we can read the conversation and follow up properly. An AI model writes the replies — the model is run by Anthropic, who receive the conversation in order to do that. We delete the text of a chat after 90 days.

We also record when someone clicks one of the chat’s call or contact links, along with the page it happened on and a random session id, so we can tell whether the thing is actually helping anyone. That id is not your name and is not linked to your inquiry.

You never have to use it. The form, the phone number and the email address all work exactly the same way without it.

Counting visitors

If this site is counting visits, the tool that does it runs on our own infrastructure rather than a third party’s, sets no cookies, and does not follow you to other websites. It records the kind of thing a visitor log has always recorded — which page, roughly where in the world, which sort of device — and none of it identifies you or connects to anything you send us through the form.

What we don’t do

No advertising pixels, and nothing that tracks you across other websites. No cookie banner, because we do not set cookies on visitors in the first place. And we do not record your IP address against your inquiry — the only place one is touched at all is a short-lived spam check that forgets it a few minutes later.

Who else touches it

• Vercel, which hosts this site
• Resend, which sends our notification and your confirmation
• Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces
• Anthropic, whose AI model writes the chat’s replies
• The company that builds and keeps this website running, who can reach this information only in order to do that

None of them use your information for their own marketing — they are processing it to deliver the site or the email. We do not control their systems, so how long each keeps its own logs is governed by its own policy rather than this one. If we are ever legally required to disclose information — a subpoena or a court order — we will.

Deleting your information

Ask us and we will delete it and confirm that we have. Call the shop, send the form on this site saying that is what you want, or write to us at 10 S Inman Ave, Avenel, NJ 07001.

Your other choices

You can also ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what we have on file for you
• Correct something you got wrong when you filled the form in
• Stop contacting you about a request you made

There is no ongoing marketing list, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from beyond a single email thread. If you live somewhere that gives you additional rights over your personal information, tell us and we will honor them as far as a business this size practically can.

Children’s privacy

We sell windows and doors to homeowners, architects and builders, not to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Security

Everything you send travels over HTTPS. What we store is held in our own database on managed infrastructure, reachable only by us. No system is perfect and we cannot promise absolute security. If we ever learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify the people affected as required by law.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top and post the new version here. We have no contact list to notify you with, so please check back if you are curious.
